Thailand rival political parties wrap their campaigns on the eve of a hard-fought elections considered crucial to the future of the kingdom, after years of turbulence. 170000 authorities say police will be deployed to protect polling stations to vote on Sunday, which comes just over a year after Bangkok was rocked by its worst civil violence in decades. Polls show the main opposition party Pheu Thai, led by Yingluck Shinawatra, former prime minister Thaksin's sister fugitiveShinawatra, enjoying an advantage over Democrats Abhisit Vejjajiva current prime minister ahead of elections on Sunday. Yingluck, 44 year old entrepreneur, has seen rapid growth in the lead by tapping in the media heartland north and northeast, where his brother remains popular five years after being overthrown in a coup. But the Prime Minister Abhisit Vejjajiva rejected Yingluck Democrat Party as a political novice who serve as a candidate to allow Thaksin's return from exile, where helives to avoid a term of two years in prison for corruption.
